Frank Pignone, Coach

Coach, Personal Trainer

As an avid athlete, Frank's passion for fitness was ignited at a young age. Hockey and track were a big focus in high school and he carried his active lifestyle with him long after. Frank served with the US Army Corps of Engineers, reenlisting with the Infantry, and later attended the US Army Training Academy, ultimately becoming an instructor where his motivation for fitness grew.

He married his wife Kristen in 1998. Years later, when she developed breast cancer, making changes and living an even healthier way of life became a matter of life and death. He and his wife approached her illness with fighting force and vowed to move more and live healthier.

Kris is now active and healthy, and as a surviving couple, they have raised three children, all of whom are now healthy, active adults. Fitness became a way of life for Frank and his family and he is passionate about sharing the benefits of living a life full of movement!

Frank hit a crossroads, as many of us did, during the early start of the COVID-19 pandemic when he lost his job. He did some soul searching, and decided to turn it into a positive experience and dove into fitness. He realized that becoming a Certified Personal Fitness Trainer was his true passion and was being afforded the opportunity to pursue that dream.

Frank is now a graduate of the American Academy of Personal Training, where he met our own Alexis Bergman at a career fair. He is also NASM certified.

He feels that being a personal fitness trainer not only changes the life of the individual being trained, but the lives of their families as well. He looks forward to sharing his love for movement with the SLS community and is excited for this new career path.
