Rachel Berube, Coach
Coach, Personal Trainer
Prior to joining SLS, Rachel was a Strength & Conditioning coach at the high school level, working with sports teams and individuals of all levels ranging from those who have never seen a weight room to athletes with college aspirations. She was immediately captivated by the feeling of seeing a smile spread across a kid's face and the effect the weight room can have on building their confidence each year. It's not about level of skill or experience, but about believing in yourself, focusing on the little details, and continuing to grow.
Rachel’s favorite part of coaching is creating a supportive, energetic environment where anyone can feel challenged to be their best self with the greatest value on overall health, self-confidence, and mental well-being. To be prepared not just physically, but also mentally to overcome the obstacles facing them on the court/field/ice and off.
Rachel graduated from Northeastern University magna cum laude where she pursued Field Hockey at the Club Sport level earning the first National Championship in the college's history, discovering her passion for running, coaching, and the impact that a sense of community can have on your enjoyment of Fitness.
Rachel is a Certified Personal Trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine, is Group Exercise Instructor, and is also employed at the college level in Campus Recreation, working with a student staff to bring Fitness and competitive play to students. She continues to fuel her own competitive spirit by boxing, running races from 5ks to marathons, skiing, and participating in women’s field hockey leagues in the Boston area.
