Sue Antolini, Yoga Instructor
Yoga Instructor
Sue is very dedicated to healthy eating, movement, and fitness. She discovered yoga when recovering from a soccer injury, and has been incorporating yoga into her daily life ever since. Since moving to New England, Sue has maintained an extensive vegetable garden with a dedication to a plant-based diet and eating locally sourced vegetables.
After graduating from Rowan University with a degree in music education, Sue became a member of the United States Air Force Band, and spent the next twenty years touring America and Europe as a musical ambassador. While stationed in Germany, she became an avid hiker and skier, and after returning stateside, she played soccer for her band’s soccer team.
After leaving the Air Force, Sue received her RYT Yoga Instructor Certification, with an emphasis on Ayurvedic cooking and holistic self-care, and taught three classes a week at a local studio. She also taught AFJROTC at Lowell High School, where she provided weekly fitness classes to the cadets, and prepared them for the President's Physical Fitness Test. She led numerous community service projects with the students, to include Veterans 5K runs, holiday food drives, and local park cleanups.
Sue most recently taught at the Dr. Gertrude Bailey International school, where she provided music classes to grades pre-K to 4. She established a daily yoga and meditation practice with students prior to the start of each class resulting in increased engagement, better attention to learning, and a significant increase in positive behavior. Sue also taught an after school yoga and meditation class to teachers, and has led summer camp yoga classes for kids at the Greater Lowell YMCA.
Sue is dedicated to yoga as a non-competitive fitness practice to prevent sports and repetitive stress injuries, and to educating yoga students as to how to incorporate yoga into their lifestyle and daily routines. She still keeps busy playing music as a member of the Firebird Pops and the Gateway City Orchestra. Sue enjoys hiking, cycling, cooking, and spending time in her garden with her husband Brent, and son, Nick.
